Man arrested at Buckingham Palace entrance on suspicion of possessing a firearm

A man has been arrested by police on suspicion of possessing a firearm at Buckingham Palace.

The 38-year-old was detained by police at the visitor’s entrance to Buckingham Palace after being suspected of having a device, namely a taser.

Police have said the arrest is not terror-related. The individual remains in custody at a central London police station.

The Queen and members of The Royal Family are currently on their summer break, with Her Majesty and Prince Philip staying at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
