Princess Madeleine brings her children to accept Christmas trees at Royal Palace

Princess Madeleine of Sweden has brought along her children to accept the Christmas trees at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.

The Princess and her family recently returned to Sweden for the Christmas holidays, and she brought her children along to take part in the traditional acceptance of the Christmas trees from the Swedish Forest Academy.

Madeleine was joined by her husband, Chris O’Neill and their three children: Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas and Princess Adrienne, for the event. Each of the three children received a small Christmas tree of their own, as well.

Each year, a member of the Royal Family greets the Swedish Forest Academy to accept the Christmas trees for that year. Normally, whichever member of the family undertakes the engagement brings along one or more of their children for the fun. This is the first time Princess Madeleine has accepted the trees in several years.

The Swedish Forest Academy has been providing Christmas trees to the Royal Family since the 1960s.

This is the first engagement Princess Madeleine has undertaken since returning to Sweden for Christmas. She usually makes posts on social media about her engagements, but as of now, the Princess has not made any remarks about today’s event.

This is also one of the first events her husband, Chris O’Neill, has undertaken in Sweden in quite a while. He does not hold a title and remained a dual British/American citizen upon his marriage in 2013. He remains mostly out of the limelight, but he was every inch the happy family man receiving the Christmas trees today at the Royal Palace.
