Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden have spent time with Ukrainian refugee children in Stockholm.
Their Royal Highnesses travelled to the Nordic Museum to visit an activity centre designed to help the Ukrainian children assimilate into Sweden.
The Crown Princess Couple, parents of two children themselves, really engaged with the kids at the museum and seemed to enjoy the time spent with them.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel spoke to the children in English, and the Crown Princess praised the children for what they had learned in Swedish. She also told the children how she had a son, Prince Oscar, the same age as them and saw some of the artwork on the walls the children had created.
The non-profit organisation Beredskapslyftet and the Nordic Museum have collaborated to create free activities for around 100 children aged 6-10 who have fled the war in Ukraine. Activities include lessons in Swedish, excursions, playtime and other lessons. The organisation and museum worked with Ukrainian teachers and supervisors who have recently arrived in Sweden to create the activities that will continue the Ukrainian children’s schooling in accordance with Ukrainian requirements and curriculum.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have two children: Princess Estelle (b. 2012) and Prince Oscar (b. 2016).
