Infanta Pilar, who herself passed away in March of 2020 at 83 following a battle with colon cancer, was King Juan Carlos’ older sister, making her children first cousins to King Felipe.
Queen Sofía was seen at a Mallorca morgue, where she reunited with her nieces and nephews, mourning with them the loss of a second brother in less than 6 months.
King Felipe and his family have not been seen in Mallorca; however, it is expected that they will take part in the ceremony that will mark the burial in the San Isidro Monumental Cemetery, located in Madrid.
