The Confirmation date for Infanta Sofía has been revealed.
The Infanta will be confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church alongside her classmates on 25 May, according to Telemadrid program ‘Cámara Real.’
The students from Santa María de los Rosales School will take the Holy Sacrament at the parish of Asunción de Nuestra Señora de Aravaca near the school.
It is the same location as her First Communion in 2017 and where her older sister, Princess Leonor, was also confirmed in 2021.
As part of the Confirmation process, Sofía will choose a godparent; Leonor chose their father, King Felipe as her godfather.
Casa Real has not announced who will attend the service from the Royal Family.
The Confirmation is perfectly timed so that Princess Leonor will be able to attend; her school year at UWC Atlantic College in Wales ends on 21 May. Sofía will join Leonor there in the autumn.
Infanta Sofía will celebrate her 16th birthday on 29 April. She is second in line to the Spanish throne behind her older sister.
