Princess Charlene reunited with her husband and children after third surgery

It has been more than three months since Princess Charlene left Monaco for what was supposed to be a 10-day trip to her native South Africa for a conservation project.

It was only when she was about to leave the country to return back home that Her Serene Highness started feeling unwell, which prompted an admission into a South African hospital, where she was diagnosed with a severe ear, nose and throat infection, that required several surgeries.

Princess Charlene is unable to fly, which has prevented her from returning to the Principality and be with her family.

But now things seem to be looking up for her. Only a few weeks ago, she stated in an interview that she hoped to be able to return home to Monaco in October, which would make it five months of absence.

Yesterday her Instagram followers were treated to a pleasant surprise: the Princess was reunited with her husband and her two children, who flew to South Africa to visit her.

In one post, she shared the happy news, sharing several pictures of her, her husband and her children. In the post’s caption, she also explained that Princess Gabriella had given herself a haircut (typical of children of her age) and that she tried her best to fix it, the results of which did not satisfy her entirely, judging by the emoji the Princess chose for her caption, and the sentence accompanying it.

In a second post, which did not have a caption, Princess Charlene shared a photograph of herself and Prince Albert hugging, with the princess wearing a camouflage sweat set, mimicking what she wore in her last picture before she fell ill.

It was rumoured that Prince Albert and the children would fly at some point to South Africa to reunite with Princess Charlene, but it is not clear how long they will stay there, as the children will likely have to start a new school year soon.
