Prince Albert of Monaco has welcomed Monaco-based car influencer and YouTube personality GMK at the Princely Palace for an exclusive interview.
Arriving at the Palace on Wednesday, 4 May, GMK spoke with Monaco Info about the nerves he was feeling before he met with the Sovereign Prince and why he was there.
Georges Maroun Kikano was recently named ambassador of the Top Marques Monaco show, which will be held in the principality on 11 and 12 June. The event is a luxury car show, during which car manufacturers can present their top-of-the-line vehicles.
This event seems to be right up GMK’s alley, as the YouTuber creates content based around luxury, racing or just rare cars and vehicles.
The influencer showcased his love for luxury cars by arriving at the Princely Palace in his Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which is on the market for about 330.000€ and custom-wrapped in a holographic film.
The car is described by experts as “basically a competition G3 with plates”; with a maximum speed of 325 kilometres per hour, it would be fit to compete in the Monaco Grand Prix.
The influencer revealed to Monaco Info that during the production of his video, there would be no driving involved; instead, he would discuss “the relationship between Monaco and the automobile.”
It is unclear when the video will come out, but GMK has already posted about the meeting on his Instagram.
Eagle-eyed royal watchers will immediately spot the mistake in the text, with the influencer mistakenly referring to the Prince as “his Highness” instead of the correct “His Serene Highness.”
Luxury cars are a fixture of the Monaco scene, as the principality not only is home to some of the richest people in Europe but is also the backdrop of the Monaco Grand Prix, an event that the Princely Family enjoys a lot. In the past few days, it was the theatre Princess Charlene chose to make her first public appearance since her recovery from a mystery illness.
