Summer photos released of Crown Prince Family of Denmark

As August came to an end, the Crown Prince Family of Denmark released a few images to celebrate the summer, taken by Franne Voigt.

Five images were released in total of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary with their four children: Prince Christian (14), Princess Isabella (13), Prince Vincent (9) and Princess Josephine (9).

On Instagram, the family said: “Now another summer has passed. ⁣ We have all six enjoyed it around Denmark, and here on the last summer day of the year, we send a late summer greeting.⁣”

The family spent a significant portion of the summer at the Danish Royal Family’s summer residence at Graasten Palace in the Jutland region of Denmark. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have begun undertaking royal engagements again as Denmark is recovering from the global pandemic.

Mary recently had to issue an apology for not wearing a mask and for shaking someone’s hand at an event. The Crown Princess faced criticism for not adhering to the social distancing guidelines while on her first official engagement as President of the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature in Grenaa.

Crown Princess Mary posted two images of herself wearing face masks and urged everyone to follow the guidelines. She said: “On land, at sea and in the air – we have to get used to wearing face coverings. It is important that we follow the recommendations of the health authorities together.

“Yesterday I was in Grenaa for my first official visit after the summer holidays. At sea and in the air it went fine, but on land it slipped for me and I, unfortunately, came to shake hands. It reminded me how important it is that we help each other live up to the recommendations.

“Take care of yourself, and take care of each other.”

Princes Christian and Vincent and Princesses Isabella and Josephine will soon return to school after their summer holiday. They attend Tranegårdsskolen in Gentofte.
