Princess Isabella is the second child of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary; as the eldest granddaughter of Queen Margrethe, she is third in the line of succession to the Danish throne.

Isabella follows her father and older brother, Prince Christian (17), in the line of succession.

Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe was born on 21 April 2007 at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet. Keeping with Danish royal tradition, her name was not announced until her christening in July of that year.

Besides her older brother, Christian, she has two younger twin siblings: Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (12).

She currently attends Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole in Copenhagen. She was due to attend the boarding school Herlufsholm School beginning in the autumn of 2022, but after recurring bullying and violence allegations at the school surfaced, the Crown Prince Couple chose to send the Princess elsewhere for her education.
