Countess Eloise of Orange-Nassau shared on her Instagram stories that her plane was forced to return to Schiphol Airport after suffering a malfunction.
Countess Eloise excitedly shared that her parents had planned a surprise vacation for the family and shared stories of herself reading on a plane. The next story showed the plane back on the ground with another KLM plane in the background with the caption, “We are back at Schiphol, there was a malfunction. It’s fine, a fun adventure, haha.”
Flight data showed that the plane indeed returned to Schiphol Airport after 48 minutes in the air. After two hours on the ground, during which time the malfunction was presumably fixed, the flight departed again for its destination. It safely arrived, though there has been no update from Eloise herself.
Countess Eloise is the daughter of Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, a younger brother of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and his wife Princess Laurentien. She is currently fifth in the line of succession behind her three cousins and her father. She will start her second year at the Hotel School this year and has recently released a book called “Learning by doing.” In a story, she told her followers, “I worked really hard on it, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you, so that’s why it’s now also a book for you.”
The Countess received the nickname “Gravinfluencer” – a play on the words Gravin (Countess) and influencer – due to her many followers on Instagram.
