Prince George

Prince George looks more than ready for the new chapter in his life as he poses for brand new photos marking his first day at Eton.

The second in line to the throne began at the prestigious school on September 8 and the milestone moment was marked with three new portraits of the teenage prince.

George, 13, was captured in a trio of images by Matt Porteous who snapped the young prince as his first day got underway.

William was back at his alma mater to support George on his first day there. The Prince and Princess of Wales walked across a rainy courtyard with their eldest child as he took his first steps at his new school.

And the younger prince got the last laugh on his dad as he watched the Prince of Wales struggle with an unruly umbrella. George chose to steal some shade from the rain under the umbrella carried by his mum, Catherine.

A handful of cameras were allowed in to see the start of the future king’s secondary education with George being greeted by the head, Simon Henderson, and the provost, Sir Nicholas Coleridge.

The Prince and Princess of Wales then accompanied their son inside Eton where he began to settle in to the school which will be his home from home for the next five years. The prince will board at Eton College which is about twenty minutes from the Windsor estate where his family live at Forest Lodge.

Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, have returned to Lambrook School where they have been pupils since 2022.
