The Prince of Wales’s Communications Secretary has quashed rumours that Prince Charles travels around with a portable leather toilet seat.
Taking to Twitter, Julian Payne said: “Just catching up on some of last week’s coverage. Does anyone seriously believe The Prince travels with a leather loo seat?
I mean multiple boiled eggs may be plausible even though it’s nonsense. But an actual portable loo seat???”
Numerous publications have reported that Princess Anne purchased a leather toilet seat for her brother a few years ago as a present.
He apparently loved the gift so much that he brings the lavatory seat with him every time he travels.
Thank goodness that rumour has been debunked!
