Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress designer is revealed

Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos are the lucky designers to dress Princess Eugenie on her wedding day. The duo own the label Peter Pilotto.

The ninth-in-line to the throne chose the British designer to create the gown she will walk down the aisle in.

The dress features a low back that shows off her scoliosis scar.

The designers looked back at previous Royal Wedding gowns to design Eugenie’s dress.

The Duke of York’s website said “the dress was developed layer by layer, constructing it from the corset and the complex underskirt to the fitted bodice and full pleated skirt. The dress features a neckline that folds around the shoulders to a low back that drapes into a flowing full length train. The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Princess Eugenie who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis.”

She is also wearing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, lent to her by The Queen and shoes are satin peep-toe heels by Charlotte Olympia.

Princess Eugenie is the second child of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. She is currently ninth-in-line to the throne and works at the art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

She is marrying Jack Brooksbank, former manager of the nightclub Mahiki. The couple became engaged in Nicaragua a few weeks before Buckingham Palace announced the news.

Today, they are becoming husband and wife at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
