The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh Arrive for Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have arrived at St. George’s Chapel, mere moments ahead of Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

There had been speculation in the press that Prince Philip may not attend, and indeed, it was believed that a decision would not be made until this morning after gaging the Duke’s comfort level, however Prince Philip has joined the Queen for their granddaughter’s big day.

The Queen and Prince Philip have arrived at the Galilee Porch and have been received by the Dean of Windsor before being escorted to their seats in the Quire with the flourish of a fanfare.

Of course, this is the second royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel for the Queen and Prince Philip this year. They previously attended the wedding of their grandson, Prince Harry, to Meghan Markle, now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The May royal wedding was Prince Philip’s first official appearance since having hip replacement surgery earlier this spring.
