Sarah, Duchess of York and Princess Beatrice arrive at the Royal Wedding

Easily one of the proudest moments in any mother’s life, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York was beaming as she arrived for the wedding of her second daughter.

Accompanied by her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, Sarah was dressed in all green by Emma Louise and a hat by Jess Collet, she could not look any happier as she took her place at St Geroge’s Chapel for the wedding of Princess Eugenie to Jack Brooksbank.

She greeted a few members of the crowd before entering the chapel with Princess Beatrice.

Sarah has two daughter, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice with her former husband, Prince Andrew, Duke of York. The couple separated in 1992 after Andrew’s long periods of being away for his Naval career got in the way and divorced in 1996, sharing custody of their daughters.

While she has remained close with her ex-husband, even sharing a home with him, her relationship with the rest of the Royal Family has been strained. Prince Philip is known for his disdain of Sarah, however, she has been working on her relationships with the extended family.

Sarah was not invited to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011, but times have changed and her improvement gained her an invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding earlier this year. It was the first time she was at a major royal event with The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh since the divorce.
