A number of cases of Covid were reported at Windsor Castle in the days before The Queen tested positive for coronavirus.
Buckingham Palace announced on February 20th 2022 that Her Majesty was experiencing mild, cold like symptoms and had tested positive for Covid.
It’s since been confirmed that there has been a small outbreak of Covid at Windsor Castle. The Queen returned to the ancient royal residence on February 7th 2022 having spent her Platinum Jubilee day at Sandringham.
The Queen, who is 95, is said to be well and preparing to undertake light duties while resting and isolating. Her Majesty is triple vaccinated.
In the statement confirming The Queen had tested positive, Buckingham Palace said ”Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold like symptoms but expects to continue with light duties at Windsor over the coming week. She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all appropriate guidelines.”
