The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge conclude their three day visit to the Republic of Ireland today. And their diary will see them visit the west of the country with a string of engagements in County Galway. As William and Kate start to wrap up their latest official trip, here’s a look at what day three of #RoyalVisitIreland has in store.
Celebrating Culture
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge begin their day hearing about Galway’s plans as European City of Culture for 2020. They will visitTribeton where they will hear about the events going on during the year and meet some of those taking part.
Galway is famous for its hospitality and that’s just what William and Kate will experience as the morning turns into the afternoon. They’re off to Tig Coili, a family owned pub in the city centre where they will meet local people who work to promote and support Galway all year round.
Then it’s time for a spot of sport. We know how much the Cambridges love a bit of constructive competitiveness on a royal tour and the last stop on their visit will be at a GAA club in Galway to learn all about the sports the association supports. And then it’s onto the pitch for a runabout with young people from the club’s teams.
