When rumours about Prince Harry’s alleged romance started to swirl and the paparazzi became hands-on, Prince Harry issued an unprecedented statement asking the media to leave Meghan Markle alone.
In part of how “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her”.
Over the weekend more rumours were started when it was reported that Prince William did not support his brother’s decision to make a public statement about his relationship.
Prince William jumped on this quickly having Kensington Palace release a statement denying these stories.
“The Duke of Cambridge absolutely understands the situation concerning privacy and supports the need for Prince Harry to support those closest to him.” read the brief, but to the point, statement.
A royal source who spoke to The Telegraph said: “They don’t issue statements like that without talking to each other, and they talked about the Meghan Markle statement extensively in advance of it being put out.
“The Duke was as alarmed as anyone about what was happening with Meghan.
“No-one wanted to have to put that statement out, including Prince Harry, and there was concern about confirming the relationship.
“But over the course of one weekend things escalated to the extent that Prince Harry felt he had to act.”
Prince Harry and Prince William currently share media advisers, so any matter that could affect one-another are always thoroughly discussed.
The brothers have always been outspoken about maintaining a balance of privacy in such a public role. They blame the media for the untimely death of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales who was killed in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997 when the paparazzi chased down the car she was in with Dodi Al-Fayed and are rightfully protective of their partners in the same spotlight.
Why oh why can’t the media leave them alone?
Prince Harry is on an official visit on behalf of his Grandmother …. Where are the details of the good work he is doing?
Why do they have to look for dirt? …& then when they can’t find it make something up?
I find it very good that the two brothers support one another. The Duke of Cambridge has done a remarkable job in managing those as the papparazi who would have surely helped to destroy their children; and, more for his wife. I am certain that as long as they remain fast friends the situation of slanders about Prince Harry’s relationships will not suffer as the press often had their mother doing. The small news on Royal Central about Prince Harry’s official trip points toward him doing an excellent job, of which his grandparents and mother would be proud. I have in my own life been shocked many times by “the nattering nabobs of the press;” and, the lies they spread about me without even anything to support it.
IF THERE WERE NO DIRT TO BE FOUND? THERE WOULD BE NO PAPARAZI TO BRING ANY DIRT OUT PERIOD? THERE WERE NOTHING LIKE THAT WHEN OUR FUTURE QUEEN OF ENGLAND THE ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCESS KATHERINE OF ENGLAND. THE OTHER ONE HAVE TO GET OVER IT AND FIND SOMEONE THAT FITS TO HER.
