Prince William at bedside of Princess of Wales as she recovers from major surgery

The Prince of Wales has spent time at his wife’s bedside as the Princess continues to recover from major surgery.

Prince William was seen leaving the London Clinic around lunchtime on January 18th, having visited Catherine who is resting after an operation two days ago.

The Prince was driven away from the clinic after his visit.

Kensington Palace announced on January 17th that the Princess of Wales had undergone abdominal surgery at the London Clinic and would spend ten to fourteen days there before returning home.

Her Royal Highness has had to postpone all her planned engagements until at least Easter for her recovery.

Prince William will also adjust his diary to be at home to care for their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8 and Prince Louis, 5.

Kensington Palace said that although the Princess appreciated the interest in her condition, she hoped her privacy would be respected and no details of her condition were given.

However, it was confirmed to reporters that the situation is not related to cancer.
