Queen Camilla speaks on how King Charles feels ahead of hospital treatment

Queen Camilla has said The King is doing well as he prepares for hospital treatment.

As Her Majesty carried out engagements in Aberdeen, she was asked about King Charles who will go into hospital next week for treatment for an enlarged prostate.

The Queen said His Majesty was ‘’looking forward to getting back to work’’ in the first comments on his health since Buckingham Palace made the announcement.

The King, who is 75, will undergo a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.

His Majesty wanted to share details of his condition to encourage others to make sure they get themselves checked, too.

No details of exactly when The King will be treated have been shared but it is understood that he will be able to continue with all his constitutional duties and there will be no need to appoint Counsellors of State to act in his place.
