Prince George is preparing for special event

Prince George, 10, is preparing for a special athletic event.

The Prince is training for a triathlon, made up of cycling, running and swimming at his school. He has even reportedly been putting talcum powder in his shoes to prepare.

This was all revealed by Prince William to Non Stanford when the heir to the throne was presenting Stanford with her MBE on 31 October.

Stanford was being honoured for her triathlon success after winning silver in the Commonwealth Games.

She said: “He [William] was telling me how George has been doing triathlon at school. … There is also a gentleman who now works for William, has done a bit of triathlon and has been giving George advice about putting talcum powder in his shoes.”

The athlete added: “George has been sharing his talc with his classmates, and they are all excited about these tips.”

Prince George, who has inherited his parents’ athletic abilities, is in Year 6 at the Lambrook School in Berkshire.

Later this month, the young royal will be undertaking exams, and his mum, the Princess of Wales, is staying behind in the UK to help him prepare instead of joining the Prince of Wales in Singapore for the Earthshot Awards.
