Kate: A Young Queen in Waiting – True Royalty’s new documentary focusing on a future queen

Exclusive to our partners at True Royalty, a new documentary, “Kate: A Young Queen in Waiting,” is now available for streaming. It focuses on the rise of the Duchess of Cambridge’s popularity and role in the Royal Family featuring never before seen footage of her work during the pandemic.

The programme is just over 50 minutes and talks about Kate’s work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – from her Hold Still competition to the countless video calls she and the Duke of Cambridge made to their patronages and healthcare workers. There’s a particular focus on the Duchess of Cambridge’s fondness for children and her work with the early years. There’s footage of the Duchess at engagements with children that shows how much she enjoys spending time with them and how she wants to see them succeed.

With insight from Katie Nicholl, Penny Junor, Emily Nash and Richard Kay, “Kate: A Young Queen in Waiting” talks about the Duchess’s love of photography and how that has impacted her work and, in particular, the Hold Still competition that took place during the UK’s first lockdown. They also discuss how the Duke and Duchess are working to modernise the British monarchy and bring it into the future.

It is a documentary you don’t want to miss on the future queen consort!

Other new programmes to True Royalty focusing on the Cambridges include “William and Kate: Into the Future” and “William and Kate: A Year On.” There is plenty of other royal content on the streaming service about the British Royal Family and the royals from across the globe.
