Prince of Wales meets 007 as he tours movie set

The Prince of Wales visited the set of an upcoming James Bond movie yesterday where he got a tour of the Pinewood studios Bond 25 sets located in Iver Heath, Bucks.

An Aston Martin owner himself, His Royal Highness was able to view two of the cars used in the upcoming film and even see a scene being filmed.

The Prince also met the movie’s stars including Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Lashana Lynch, and Naomie Harris. He also was introduced to the director of the film, Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Daniel Craig was spotted with injuries to lip and eyebrow, but fans need not fret. It was only makeup for a scene as part of his 007 role.

It was no doubt a thrilling engagement for the patron of the British Film Institute, as well as the British Intelligence Service. In his role of patron of the former, he spoke to British Film Institute apprentices and posed for a group photo with them during the visit.

Back in 2012, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall attended the world premiere of the James Bond Skyfall. He requested that the premiere benefit both active and retired military service men and women.

Of course, the Prince of Wales isn’t the only member of the Royal Family who has met and interacted with Craig as Mr Bond. The same year that Skyfall premiered, the London Summer Olympics took place, and during the Opening Ceremony, a video was shown of Bond meeting Her Majesty in Buckingham Palace. They then ‘jumped’ out of the helicopter above the stadium for The Queen’s arrival.

The 25th movie in the James Bond franchise is due out in April of next year. The title has not been revealed, and it is, for now, just being called Bond 25.
