A striking new portrait of Queen Camilla has been seen for the first time as the Royal Family revealed an historic collection of artwork.
The image of The Queen is part of the set of paintings, drawings and sketches commissioned by The King for their Coronation in May 2023.
Five artists were asked to create work on the day of the Coronation to record it for history.
The pieces were presented to The King and Queen in September 2024 and have just been made public, ahead of the second anniversary of the Coronation.
Among them is a drawing of Queen Camilla by Eileen Hogan which is one of the most striking pieces in the new collection.

It shows The Queen in contemplative mood and without Queen Mary’s Crown which was used in the ceremony. Queen Camilla wears her Coronation dress and the jewels which have been used by every queen since Victoria, the sparkling diamonds known as the Coronation necklace and earrings.
Eileen Hogan started the drawing in Westminster Abbey during the Coronation service. She was invited to be the artist at the ceremony by King Charles and is the first woman ever to hold that role.

Her other sketches include another notable work showing Prince William paying homage to King Charles III. The drawing shows the Prince of Wales full on and looking at King Charles who is seen from the back with the Crown of St. Edward, the ancient symbol of the Monarchy, on his head.
The art work is now held in the Royal Collection. It was revealed just before the unveiling of the official Coronation State Portraits which will be shown for the first time at the time of the second anniversary of the crowning.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla were crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6th 2023.
