The royal children attend Prince Philip’s memorial service as they remember their great-grandfather

Prince George of Cambridge has taken his place alongside his parents at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Duke of Edinburgh.

George, now 8, was joined at the ceremony by his sister, Princess Charlotte, 6.

The Duke’s eldest great grandchild, Savannah Phillips, 11, was also there along with her nine year old sister, Isla. Mia Tindall, now 8, also paid tribute to the Prince.

George, third in line to the throne, arrived at the Abbey with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and was greeted warmly by his grandfather, the Prince of Wales.

Royalty from across Europe have also joined the Royal Family in paying tribute to Philip at the service at Westminster Abbey.

The service is being led by the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9th 2021 at the age of 99. His funeral took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor on April 17th 2021.
