On Monday night, a bombing at the Manchester Arena at the end of an Ariana Grande concert killed 22 people and injured at least another 59.
Ariana Grande reacted on Twitter last night about the suspected terror attack saying: “Broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words.”
Last night, Prime Minister Theresa May called the attack “an appalling terrorist attack.” UK election campaigning has been suspended after the horrendous attack. This afternoon, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales released his own statement on the attack, saying:
My wife and I were so profoundly shocked to learn of the truly dreadful event which took place in Manchester last night.
That such a large number of people, including so many young concert-goers, lost their lives or have suffered so much in this appalling atrocity is deeply distressing and fills us with intense sadness.
Words cannot adequately express what so many families must be feeling at this incredibly difficult time and our most heartfelt sympathy is with all those who have so tragically lost loved ones or who have been affected in some way.
HRH The Prince of Wales
Messages of condolences continue to pour in from all over the world. Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece was the first to offer condolences and said on Twitter, “My heart goes out to the families at Manchester Arena. Our Democracy and freedom of thought will never falter or weaken. God Bless.” In addition to a message of condolence, Belgium also posted a photo of Belgian flags at half-mast on top of the Royal Palace in Brussels.
The Monarchs of Europe and Britain have shown great respect and solidarity in the sadness of the atrocious losses at Manchester. His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge and family have also sent their condolences to the grief stricken families of the departed. My thoughts also to the injured, in what I believe will be marked in history as a turning point, a pivot on which ISIS and their like have cast their idea to the dust.
My prayers and condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims, those injured and to all the lawmen first responders, and Intelligence Agents who immediately responded. I find it most sadistic a 22 year old man with ISIS ideology decided to go forth and blow up a bunch of young girls. Of course the gutless wonder didn’t have the courage to live and face the music; instead blowing himself up in senseless martyrdom. My best wishes and support go out to the United Kingdom this evening 7:00 p.m. (CST), and to all the lawmen tending this investigation.
they couldnt have timed it better to disrupt the uneasy recent steps toward peace.
