The new line of succession to the British throne

The reign of King Charles III is now six months old. His Majesty took the throne on September 8th 2022 on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

By the end of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II counted 23 descendants in the line of succession to her throne. That has changed. Now there are just seven direct descendants of King Charles in the succession.

The first thirty people in the line of succession are now as follows:
