
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester laid a wreath during a special service of Remembrance on Armistice Day.
The Duke and Duchess took part in the National Memorial Arboretum’s annual service at the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire.
Both bowed their heads in remembrance as thousands took part in the ceremony on the anniversary of the end of World War One.
They also stopped at the memorial wall to pay tribute with the Duchess of Gloucester resting her hand on the words ‘Royal Air Force’ which are carved into the stone.
November 11th is Armistice Day and is marked with a silence at 11am, the exact moment the guns fell silent to end the First World War.
On November 10th, Queen Camilla took part in a memorial service at Westminster Abbey where the Fields of Remembrance were opened.
King Charles and Queen Camilla will lead the Royal Family at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on November 12th. The Prince and Princess of Wales, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence will also be present as will the Duke and Duchess of Gloucster.
His Majesty will lay a wreath on behalf of the nation at the Cenotaph on November 13th, Remembrance Sunday.
