Prince Harry to travel to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral – Meghan to miss on medical advice

The Duke of Sussex is to fly from California to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip’s funeral will take place next Saturday at 3pm in St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

The Duchess of Sussex is unable to make the journey after receiving medical advice.

Meghan is heavily pregnant with her second child, and despite making efforts to travel back to the UK, has received advice to the contrary from her doctor.

A maximum of 30 guests will be permitted to attend the funeral service owing to social distancing guidelines imposted because of the ongoing public health emergency.

The ceremony will be scaled down so not to encourage crowds to gather.

On arrival in the UK, Prince Harry will be required to isolate for a period of ten days.

However, he will be permitted to leave quarantine for the funeral on compassionate grounds.

He may also leave isolation after five days providing he pays for a virus test and receives a negative result.
