Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among the members of The Royal Family who attended The Queen’s 92nd birthday celebrations on Saturday evening at the Royal Albert Hall.
Harry and Meghan, who get married in less than a months time, sat together in the royal box as they enjoyed performances by the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Craig David.
The Prince and his soon-to-be-bride were at the concert to support and pay tribute to The Queen who has just finished hosting a hugely successful Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The Duke of Cambridge arrived at the event solo as his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, is due to give birth any day.
Also present in the royal box were most of The Queen’s family. This included her children, grandchildren and cousins.
Prince Harry also made an appearance on stage during the concert where he delivered a speech about The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, a new which was launched last week – of which His Royal Highness is The President.
The 33-year-old Prince said: “Tonight we are celebrating The Queen’s Birthday but Your Majesty, if you do not mind me saying, you are not someone who is easy to buy gifts for. But I think we have the perfect present.
“You dedicated your life to serving the Commonwealth during a speech from South Africa on your 21st birthday in 1947.
“As we celebrate your 92nd birthday this evening and in recognition of your incredible life of service, I am delighted to say that the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust has now been launched to support young leaders around the Commonwealth.
“This organisation, in your name, will provide a platform for those working to make a difference in their communities across 53 countries. Happy Birthday Your Majesty.”
Earlier on Saturday morning, the couple carried out a joint engagement in London with the Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in preparation for the Invictus Games.
At the engagement, Harry and Meghan met servicemen and women from Britain and Australia ahead of the Invictus Games to be held this Autumn in Sydney.
