Mike Tindall says Meghan Markle will be “absolutely fine” joining The Royal Family

Mike Tindall has said that Meghan Markle will fit into The Royal Family just fine, however, warns that it a ‘nerve-wracking’ experience.

Speaking to The Sunday People, Mike said: “It comes with a lot of history and the family that it is. It’s obviously nerve-racking.

“But she has been under enough scrutiny and pressure in her day-to-day life so I’m sure she will get through it. She will be fine.

“As long as they are both happy that’s all that you can ask for. She’ll do absolutely fine.”

Mike has been married to Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara, for six years now. Like Meghan, before becoming acquainted with the royals, he was in the public eye for very different reasons.

The 38-year-old was Captain of the England Rugby team, and was part of the 2003 World Cup winning squad.

Mike also revealed that he loves Meghan’s show, Suits, and adds that he looks forward to finally meeting Prince Harry’s girlfriend.

It emerged last week that Prince Harry had whisked Meghan away to Africa to celebrate her 36th birthday. Since then, speculation has been rife about whether an engagement is imminent.

Meghan is an accomplished actress having worked on shows including General HospitalFringeCastle and, most notably, Suits where she has played character Rachel Zane since July 2011. In addition to television work, she has also had small roles in a few movies including Horrible BossesRemember Me and Get Him to the Greek.

In addition to acting, Meghan is an active humanitarian. She has worked as a counsellor for the One Young World charitable organisation, where she spoke in Dublin at its annual summit in 2014. In 2016, she became the Global Ambassador World Vision Canada and attended the Ottawa Summit that same year. In her role, she also travelled to Rwanda for the Clean Water Campaign.
