With little over a month to go until the Royal Wedding, it would seem all the final preparations are underway to ensure Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have the beautiful day that they deserve.
While all the major plans like Meghan’s wedding dress, the catering and the entertainment are sure to have been sorted for a while now, there is one more thing that Ms Markle will need to finalise before she weds Prince Harry.
And it would seem that she may be in the process of sorting it right now as sources have told the Chicago Tribune that the bride-to-be is reportedly currently in Chicago to finalise her visa.
A photo is rumoured to have been provided to the Tribune which shows Ms Markle donning what looks like a Sox cap while she lands at O’Hare International Airport.
According to a second source, Meghan landed at the airport on Thursday at 11.30 am and will apparently be leaving on Sunday evening.
The second source also revealed, perhaps foolishly, no escort was provided for Meghan. However, Chicago police did provide physical security for her. It is likely she will have been taken to her place-of-stay by agency vehicles supplied by the US State Department, the source continued.
As reported in Chicago Tribune, the State Department explained their security plans in an email: “The State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security provides security details to certain foreign dignitaries and official guests while they are in the United States.
“The Security we provide to these visiting dignitaries and guests is based on the level of threat they face in the United States.
“Extensive planning, analysis and coordination with local, state and other federal law enforcement is critical to ensuring that appropriate security measures are in place. We do not provide specific information about protective details.”
Meghan Markle is set to wed Prince Harry in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19th, and with not long to go and now the possibility of her visa being finalised, there is no doubt the young couple are very excited!
