Duke and Duchess of Sussex donate to The Mission Continues for Martin Luther King Day

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have donated to The Mission Continues in honour of Martin Luther King Day today in the United States. The pair’s donation was revealed by the organisation on their social media account.

In an Instagram post, the Duke and Duchess said they wanted to share a “small token of our appreciation.”

They said in a note: “In honour of this day of service, and in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he stood for, we want to send our thanks and gratitude to the team at The Mission Continues.”

The royal couple said they looked forward to joining them “soon” and thanked them for all of their work. They donated, alongside the Archewell Foundation, lunch for the volunteers at the Los Angeles Service Platoon who were helping those in the Compton community on 16 January.

Food was provided by Homegirl Catering, part of Homeboy Industries, which Harry and Meghan visited last year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently reside in Santa Barbara, California, with their son, Archie.
