Goodliffe says her mother found it at an antique mall and thought it was a bell but was told it’s a piggy bank. The item is about the size of one’s palm. (Sydney Zatz) 14 February 2012, nearly a year after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot, Mattel released a Royal Wedding Gift set. Designed by Robert Best, The Duchess wears an elegant yet chic, ivory gown trimmed with lace and faux pearl buttons. The Duke is dressed in the brilliant scarlet uniform of the Colonel of the Irish Guards. Worldwide, 22,500 sets of this gift set were produced. (Sydney Zatz) Made by the Royal Collection Trust in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, the mini-bottles of champagne retail for £15.95. (Jen Sell) Harry and Meghan’s Windsor Knot is a celebratory Pale Ale and a special limited edition of Windsor and Eton’s best-selling beer, Windsor Knot. The beer was first brewed for the marriage of Prince Harry’s brother, the Duke of Cambridge. Simcoe is the only American hop brand included in the drink. The brand was chosen by Windsor and Eton brewers to honor Meghan’s West Coast roots. In November, Ty informed retailers they could only order 12 of the Princess Beanie Babies for delivery in December. The limit caused many to believe that the bear would be limited edition. The coin was minted for only two years and is the last Silver Crown to use Pistrucci’s St. George and the Dragon reverse for 65 years. The gold coin is a five-pound of Queen Victoria. Designed by William Wyon in 1839 to commemorate the beginning of the Queen’s reign (1837,) the back features Queen Victoria walking to the left of a lion. The Latin phrase- Dirige Deus Gressus Meos (May the Lord direct my steps) is above with the roman numerals MDCCCXXXIX (1839.) The same Latin inscription appears on the 2012 Royal Mint £5 Crown to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. (Michelle Goodliffe) The Investiture of the Prince of Wales is a formal ceremony acknowledging a new Prince of Wales. In the manner of a coronation, the prince is presented and invested with the insignia of his rank and dignity. This plate dates back to the previous Princes of Wales to the 1300s. Dr Theresa Phillips is an Ordained Minister and comes from a line of ministers from the Church of England, which The Queen is head of. Dr Phillips, who was raised in the Church of England says this book also her to connect to her roots and remember where she came from. (Sydney Zatz) Purchased in England, the tea bags gift set features The Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke of Sussex, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The bags are filled with a class tea blend with black tea. (Michelle Goodliffe) Purchased at an antique mall, this Wedgewood Heart Trinket Box is to commemorate the royal wedding of Princess Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in 1986. Dr Phillips says this item means the most because it inspires her and helps her reflect on why she loves the United Kingdom as an American. Having two copies of this pin, Phillips plans to pass one to one of her granddaughters who loves their family’s European heritage. (Michelle Goodliffe) This edition of Celebrity Focus was issued to commemorate the 18th birthday of Prince William. Issued in June 2000, the issue retailed for $3.95 USD.
