<![CDATA[A terrorist plot to kill The Queen has been thwarted, reports The Sun.
Thursday 6th November saw the arrest of four men around the London area, in connection with ‘Islamic related terrorism’, Scotland Yard said.
It has now been said that the men were plotting to assassinate Her Majesty, as an ultimate act of retribution against the UK, due to its involvement in the war against terrorism and Islamic State in the east.
It is thought the plan was to be carried out today (8th November), as The Queen attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. The men, aged 19, 22, 25 and 27 were attempting to kill Her Majesty with a knife. Both The Queen and David Cameron have been made aware of the developments of this case, with the suspects currently in custody as the Monarch continues with her duties.
The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra are all due to be in attendance of the festival this evening too.
The status of the UK was recently upgraded from ‘substantial’ to ‘severe’, with many expecting an imminent attack.
The Queen and many other members of The Royal Family will be present for the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, tomorrow. Following the recent attack at the National War Memorial in Canada, security is likely to have been tightened for this event too.
SO14 is the branch of Scotland Yard that looks after the safety of The Royal Family, with the assistance of the local Police wherever an engagement is carried out.
Members of The Royal Family are frequent targets on the lists of terrorists: a plot was also foiled in 2008 when The Queen attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Uganda. Al Qaeda were involved in this attempt, and a speedboat loaded with arms and home-made bombs was seized. Two Ugandan TV broadcasting vans were also taken and searched for possible weaponry.
Threats were also made against Prince Harry as he returned to Afghanistan in 2012.

If terrorists had killed Her Majesty, I would have gone apeshit. This madness has got to stop. It’s time to tighten immigration in the UK.

I am always amazed that no matter what the threat, our Royal Family continue on ! World governments have to come down hard on these horrible creatures that pose threats to our freedom and government leaders. I am so proud of our Queen of Canada, on she goes, the true meaning of duty and devotion. What an example she sets for the rest of the world. May God protect her and may she reign for many more years. Thank you Your Majesty !!

I started composing a lengthy reply to your comments, but I quickly realized there are no words that would be adequate to describe how wrong you are.
You clearly have no understanding of Her Majesty and the way she has devoted her life to the service of her people and the Commonwealth.

Oh my goodness, I am actually embarrassed for you, what a lack of knowledge you show ! Not to mention rude and uncouth, you know not of what you speak. For gods sake go to a library , look through or read a book on the working royal family. Princess Anne was here November 10 and 11. I doubt you would have been able to keep up with her on her engagements, let alone be able to act like a gentleman or lady… that is something you have to learn.

These cowards would have never succeeded anyway. The brave men that protect this Nation in all their fields & departments are light years ahead, they are trained to anticipate and remotely sense & feel when slightest vibrations – triggers chains of spider nets upon cowards and will be martyrs, that will eventually rot in Her Majesty Paradise tended by 99 extremely virgin inmates.
