Princess Charlotte Receives a Special Christmas Present from her Bodyguards

Princess Charlotte will receive a very special Christmas present from her bodyguards when she opens a framed print commemorating the day she was born.

The print, called On the Day You Were Born, will include details about her birthday, 2 May 2015, including her star sign, Taurus; birthstone, an emerald; what time the sun rose and set that day, and might also include her birth flower, a lily of the valley, the cost of a stamp that day, which was 62p, and the name of the Prime Minister, among other details.

“It’s very exciting to know that our print will be hanging on Princess Charlotte’s nursery wall,” Lucy Tapper, the artist behind the prints, told The Sun.

“We received an order from the security team at Kensington Palace,” said Tapper.

“We sent the print, along with a card and we received a letter of thanks from the office of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

The little princess’s print was ordered on purple paper.

Princess’ Charlotte’s older brother, Prince George, also received an “On the Day You Were Born” print when he was born, on 22 July 2013.

Tapper said she didn’t realise the order had come from the palace at the time, but had assumed that a super fan of the Cambridges had ordered the print instead.

On Tapper’s website, she writes, “I created this for my own little girls. I wanted a picture to show all the information about their day of birth, all in one place and there was nothing like it anywhere. I also wanted something that would grow up with them.”

“Each print is individually researched and this is extra special because no two are ever the same.”

The nearly two-year-old princess has had an eventful year, starting with celebrating her first birthday, making her first official appearance on Buckingham Palace’s balcony for the Trooping the Colour flypast, and travelling to Canada with her parents for a Royal Tour in late September.
