Britain’s littlest diplomat was on the charm offensive Wednesday morning at the Berlin Airport.
Princess Charlotte, the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, landed in Berlin early Wednesday for the first day of the royal visit to Germany along with her parents and older brother, Prince George.
After their plane landed on the tarmac, the foursome stepped out of the plane and descended down to greet the dignitaries awaiting their arrival.
Princess Charlotte received a mini bouquet upon arrival – her mother received a larger bouquet – and curtseyed her thank you at the Duchess of Cambridge’s prompting.
The young royal also shook hands with a German attaché, her first diplomatic handshake.
Prince George was also on the tarmac, holding hands with his father. He appeared sleepy, often rubbing his eyes, and took his mother’s hand as the family walked down the carpet to their awaiting vehicle.
Before the family left Poland early Wednesday, they bid farewell to dignitaries there. Princess Charlotte could be seen pulling her mother along so that she could board the plane, and eventually walked up the stairs herself with little help.
The littlest Cambridges have been widely covered on this tour. Prince George made headlines for sneezing and shaking his hand as if to clean it off, and photographs of the two peeking out the plane windows at each airport make the rounds on social media. Their outfits are carefully catalogued and identified on social media, allowing parents to buy their clothes.
Princess Charlotte and Prince George are accompanying their parents during their visit to Poland and Germany. It is the second tour that the Princess has undertaken. Her first royal tour was last September to Canada.
Prince George is already a seasoned traveler: he’s toured Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and now Poland and Germany.
