Princess Beatrice enjoys day at Wimbledon as royals pack Centre Court

The royal box at Wimbledon was packed as the competition intensified with plenty of princesses in place to enjoy the semi-finals of the Men’s Singles Championship.

Princess Beatrice followed in the famed footsteps of the Princess of Wales with plenty of expressive reactions to the on court contests which eventually saw Novak Djokovic advance to a last two showdown with top seed, Carlos Alcaraz.

Beatrice attended day twelve of the Championships with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

There was a warm welcome to the royal box for the Duke of Kent who took his seat to applause. The duke, who was President of the All England Club for decades, seemed enthralled by the tennis unfolding on the court below.

Princess Michael of Kent joined the royal party as did the Duke of Kent’s daughter, Lady Helen Taylor.

The Duchess of Gloucester and Lady Sarah Chatto talked animatedly about the matches being played on the famous court as they joined the royal party.

The royal box has been busy in 2023 with European royalty joining the Windsors to watch the tournament. Prince Albert II of Monaco attended during the competition as did Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.

The Princess of Wales will attend the Ladies’ Singles Final on July 15th 2023 where she will present the Venus Rosewater dish to the winner of the match between Ons Jabour and Marketa Vondrousova.
