Looking to have a royal neighbour? You may be in luck

The Princess Royal, Zara Tindall

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have royalty as your neighbour? Well now is your time to try your luck.

Just down the road, about a mere mile and a half from Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park residence stands a home that’s up for sale. The house is just down the road in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The Princess Royal has called her Gatcombe Park residence home since the 1970s, she often spends time there with her husband Sir Timothy Laurence. She’s also not the only royal in the area, her brother Prince Charles has a home just a few miles away, near Tetbury.

While the property is a bit of a fixer-upper, it won’t set you back much. The property could be yours for just £120,000 which is quite the steal. According to Zoopla, the average house price in the area is about £893,545.

The property listing, marketed by Hammer Prince Homes, reads: “This period property which boasts many original features briefly comprises:

“To the ground floor, there is a living room, kitchen, and utility/w.c.

“To the first floor, there is a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. To the second floor, is a second bedroom.

“This rural property provides pleasant views to both the front and rear.

Externally there is a small garden to the front of the property and a well-sized garden to the rear.”

The listing went on to finish: “The property and its gardens require renovation throughout and provides a good opportunity for those looking for a modernisation project.”

The house is up for sale until Wednesday 18th December. For more information, you can find that here.
