The Duchess of Cornwall borrows Santa’s reindeers for a children’s Christmas party at Clarence House

The Duchess of Cornwall borrowed two of Santa’s reindeers on Thursday as she hosted a Children’s’ Christmas party at Clarence House.

The two reindeers, Dancer and Blitzen, were among the special guests invited to the party to celebrate the start of the festive season.

Each year, terminally ill children from Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity are invited to the home of Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall for a Christmas party unlike nothing else.

The children were greeted by a royal guard as they entered the London home before meeting the special four-legged guests.

When the children saw the reindeer, they got very excited, with one girl shouting “It’s a reindeer! A serious reindeer!”

Camilla agreed, saying “It’s a very serious reindeer.”

After petting the reindeers, the Duchess and get guests enjoyed a traditional British dinner of sausages and mash, before the children helped Camilla decorate the Clarence House Christmas Tree.
