The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have made a change to their Twitter account, following the alteration made by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge a few weeks ago to their Twitter and Instagram accounts.
While Charles and Camilla’s Twitter handle remains @clarencehouse, their page name now says “The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.”
The exact date of the Twitter name change isn’t known, but it is thought to have been in the last few days. Royal fans have said that the change makes their account more personal now that their display name isn’t just Clarence House.
The Clarence House Twitter has been in existence since 2010 and they regularly post updates on the engagements undertaken by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. They also shared tweets from other royal Twitter accounts, such as The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily), and from the Prince and Duchess’ charities, such as The Silver Line.
Back in May, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge changed both their Twitter and Instagram names to reflect their titles. Their accounts are now named “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge” instead of Kensington Palace. Both social media handles remain @kensingtonroyal.
