How can I get tickets for the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle?

One of the main focal points of the Coronation celebrations will be the concert held in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The musical extravaganzas have become an essential part of royal celebrations in the 21st century, most notably at the many Jubilees of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

A concert will now take place for the new monarch a day after his Coronation in his Berkshire residence.

Many thousands of members of the public will be able to attend with a national ballot expected to open in the coming weeks.

Exact details on how to apply for the ballot have not yet been released, however the scheme will be offered by the BBC, and is expected to be similar to the process used for the Platinum Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace in 2022.

Further details about the ballot for tickets will be released in due course, with Buckingham Palace also promising to reveal some of the star names performing at the show in the coming weeks.

The Coronation Concert will take place on Sunday, 7th May – the day after the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey.

Produced, staged and broadcast live by the BBC, the concert will bring together the biggest names in music from across the globe for the historic occasion.

Alongside the stars of the concert, the show will also see an exclusive appearance from The Coronation Choir. This diverse group will be created from the nation’s keenest community choirs and amateur singers from across the United Kingdom, such as Refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs.
