For their penultimate day in New Zealand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had another jam-packed day of engagements in Auckland.
Their day started at the North Shore, where 20 hectares of native bush was donated to The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, and the couple played wet welly wanging with children. Meghan took part in the time-honoured royal tradition of planting a tree, with the help of Trees of Survival group children, and then she and Harry unveiled the plaque for The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy contribution.
For this part of the day, Meghan wore a navy blazer jacket by Karen Walker, the New Zealand designer behind several items she’s worn during the tour, a black t-shirt, and a pair of J Crew blue jeans. She dressed, appropriately, in a pair of Wellies and accessorised with the earrings Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gifted her, and her diamond necklace by Jessica McCormick.
For an afternoon visit to Pillars, a children’s charity, Meghan wore a beige Brandon Maxwell sheath dress, similar in design to the yellow dress she wore back in the summer, over a Burberry trench coat with Stuart Weitzman pumps.
At the evening reception, hosted by the Governor-General at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Meghan wore a navy high-low dress by Antonio Berardi, a dress that has been in her closet for a while. Meghan’s earrings were white topaz drop earrings by Emily Mortimer, and she sported her beige Aquazzura Deneuve pumps.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrapped up their tour on Wednesday.
