The Duchess of Cambridge has a new date in her diary – a Valentine’s visit to an RAF base in Cambridgeshire where she will meet with local air cadets.
Her Royal Highness has been Royal Patron and Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation since December 2015. She took over the role from her grandfather-in-law, Prince Philip, who had served as Air Commodore-in-Chief for an amazing 63 years. Kate has since made three separate visits to the RAF Air Cadets.
The visit will see the Duchess meet with air cadets from the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Air Training Corps. The cadets will be taking part in a half-term skills development camp which will be an introductory ‘camp experience’ for new cadets who are still in their first six months of membership in the organisation.
Kate is set to join the cadets on a viewing of a Tutor aircraft and she will also participate in a training session focused on personal development. A highlight of the visit is sure to be an opportunity for the Duchess to get hands-on flying experience when she takes the pilot’s seat at the controls of a flight simulator.
The RAF Air Cadets promotes a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force amongst young people by providing training and encouraging leadership and teamwork through life skill development. The training provided to cadets is relevant in both the services and civilian life by encouraging the spirit of adventure and developing qualities of good citizenship. Made up of the Air Training Corps (ATC) and the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the organisation is currently made up of 41,000 air cadets between the ages of 12 and 20. They are supported and led by 15,000 adult volunteers working with over 1,000 squadrons across the UK and abroad to help the cadets become self-motivated, confident and ‘ready for anything’.

All of a sudden, all the young men in the U.K. want to be air cadets. If Queen Letizia visited her Air Training Center, I’ll bet all the young Spanish boys would want to be her Valentine too because she is by far, the sexiest royal in all Europe.
