A future king joins a duchess and a prince in the royal box at Wimbledon

The royal box at Wimbledon was packed as the competition moved into its final stages.

On day eight of the 2023 Championships, also known as July 10th 2023, a future king rubbed shoulders with a prince and a duchess as they joined a crowd treated to some top notch tennis.

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was in the royal box as the competition heated up. The heir to the throne watched the fourth round match between Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil and Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan before moving to Court Number One where Danish star, Holger Rune, won his match to progress to the quarter finals.

There was still plenty of royal representation in the royal box on Centre Court after the Crown Prince’s departure. The Duchess of Gloucester, who is Honorary President of the LawnĀ TennisĀ Association, enjoyed the matches there.

Prince Michael of Kent was also in attendance on day eight.

Royal spectators at the Championships are expected to rise as the tournament heads towards the end stages.

The Princess of Wales is set to present the trophies this weekend after the Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles finals.
