King Charles spent Saturday afternoon at an engagement during his Balmoral holidays when he visited the Aberdeen Flower Show for a milestone event.
King Charles was at Duthie Park in Aberdeen to open the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual Aberdeen Flower Show. To officially open the show, The King got to ditch the usual scissors and happily cut the gold ribbon with a pair of gardening shears.

This is a particularly important flower show, as it marks the show’s 200th anniversary in Aberdeen. It is also His Majesty’s first Aberdeen Flower Show as Patron, a role he took on in May 2024.

The King and Queen are currently at Balmoral Estate for their summer holidays and are being joined by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his wife, Victoria, this weekend.
