Tower of London sees final poppy 'planted'

<![CDATA[The final poppy was ‘planted ‘at the Tower of London on Tuesday, completing the ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’, the ceramic art installation conceived by Paul Cummins.
tol
Cummins, a graduate and now PhD student at the University of Derby, handed the final poppy to 13-year-old Army cadet Harry Hayes who planted it in the Tower moat just before 11am.
The installation now consists of 888,246 ceramic poppies, one for each British and Colonial fatality during the war.
Volunteers will start to remove the ceramic poppies on Wednesday.
The display has been so popular with visitors, part of the installation, ‘The Weeping Window’ will travel the country before it becomes permanently installed at the Imperial War museum in London and then on to Manchester in 2018.
The ‘Weeping Window’ includes thousands of poppies spilling from the Tower’s window and turns into ‘The Wave’ that rises over the visitors causeway used to enter the Tower.
Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as Prince Harry have visited the Tower to partake in ‘planting’ a poppy as well as viewing the immensity of the work.
