The Service of Thanksgiving for the Platinum Jubilee provided the biggest gathering of the House of Windsor during the celebrations.
The Queen wasn’t able to attend, deciding ”with reluctance” to rest at Windsor having experienced ”some discomfort” during Trooping the Colour.
However, there was a large turnout from her family to give thanks for her reign. And this very special event brought out some very special outfits.
The Duchess of Cornwall
Leading the royal ladies was the Duchess of Cornwall, who wore an embroidered coatdress from Fiona Clare and a wide-brimmed hat featuring floral elements by Phillip Treacy.
The Duchess of Cambridge
The Duchess of Cambridge brought the sunshine to St. Paul’s Cathedral with a buttery yellow Emilia Wickstead dress and floral Phillip Treacy hat. She included a nod to The Queen in her jewellery, wearing Her Majesty’s Bahrain pearl earrings.
The Princess Royal, The Countess of Wessex, and Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor
Princess Anne wore a shimmery, almost iridescent coatdress and matching hat in a lovely shade of blue. Her coatdress was by Shibumi, and her hat was by Amy Morris-Adams.
Sophie looked radiant in blush pink at the Service of Thanksgiving, wearing a shimmery blush dress by Suzannah London and a sloping hat by Jane Taylor.
Lady Louise, who’s making her royal debut at Platinum Jubilee events, carried on the blush pink colour scheme from her mother on Friday. Her textured hatband was also by Jane Taylor and looked appropriately youthful for the 18-year-old royal. Her dress was by Ghost London.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie
Princess Beatrice wore a periwinkle blue coat dress by Beulah London and a silk percher hat by Juliette Millinery. As one of the members of the Royal Family who’s comfortable taking sartorial risks, her handbag was embroidered with the phrase “Wifey for Lifey” and was by Sophia Webster.
The brightest of the bunch, Princess Eugenie, stunned in an orange midi dress by Emilia Wickstead and a black Ophelia Pillbox hat by Emily London.
Zara Tindall
Pretty in pink, Zara Tindall showed up in a fuchsia dress by Laura Green London and fascinator featuring silk hydrangea blossoms and a small veil from Juliette Botterill.
Her husband Mike has begun a trend of sharing behind the scenes snaps of the couple at the Platinum Jubilee events with him wearing the hat. “What colour do you think tomorrow will be?” he captioned the post on Instagram. The Tindalls are expected to attend the Epsom Derby on Saturday.
Duchess of Sussex
In her first royal appearance since 2020, Meghan wore a grey trench-inspired coatdress from Dior’s Spring/Summer 2022 line along with a Steven Jones for Dior grey hat.
