Swedish royal guests confirmed for Prince Christian of Denmark’s 18th birthday celebrations

The Swedish Royal Court has confirmed who will attend Prince Christian of Denmark’s 18th birthday celebrations next month.

There’s no surprise that Crown Princess Victoria, one of Christian’s godparents, will attend. She will bring her daughter, Princess Estelle (11), to celebrate the future King of Denmark. It is not yet known if Victoria’s husband, Prince Daniel, will attend.

Christian’s mother, Crown Princess Mary, is one of Estelle’s godparents, and Mary is also where Estelle gets her fourth name (Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary).

The Royal Court confirmed to Swedish magazine Svenskdam that the Crown Princess Family were invited to the celebrations in Copenhagen.

This will not be the first big foreign birthday celebration for Princess Estelle. She joined her parents at the 18th birthday festivities for Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway last year.

A photo of the young future monarchs of Europe was taken at that celebration; however, Prince Christian of Denmark and Spain’s Princess Leonor were missing from the image.

It’s unknown if there will be another opportunity to take an heir photo at the October event.

Further attendees will be announced in due course.
