Princess Madeleine gains new patronage

Princess Madeleine of Sweden has a new patronage.

The Princess announced her new patronage on her Instagram account, revealing that she is the new patron of Millesgården.

“With pride and joy, I have agreed to become a patron of Millesgården – the museum with artist’s home, antique collection and sculpture park on Lidingö outside Stockholm,” Princess Madeleine said.

She continued: “Millesgården is a peaceful place that I really enjoy visiting when I’m home in Sweden. Among Carl Mille’s sculptures and rippling fountains, I find inspiration and joy.”

Millesgården Museum is an art museum 20 minutes from downtown Stockholm.

Madeleine and her family reside in Florida, but they return to Sweden usually twice a year – in the summer and around Christmas. The family recently celebrated Princess Leonore’s ninth birthday and visited New York.

On the New York trip, the royal mother shared a photo with her three children in the city, captioning it, “9 years later Leonore is back in NYC!”

Princess Leonore was born in New York City in 2014 while her parents resided in the Big Apple. As a result of her birth on American soil, Leonore holds dual American-Swedish citizenship and is the closest American in the Swedish line of succession.

Princess Madeleine is eighth in the line of succession and is followed by her three children: Princess Leonore (9th), Prince Nicolas (10th) and Princess Adrienne (11th).
